Day 6 | Glyndwr’s Way | Day 8
Back to sunshine and wispy white clouds after the overcast drizzle of the day before
The route passes through a lot of Forestry Commision land - working forests - which added a bit of variety to the days
And made for interesting walking!
The views were truely huge, we were reduced to tiny moving parts creeping across the green skin of the Earth
Some wild Welsh ponies who had made a sport of rubbing on the wayposts and knocking them over. Needless to say we got a little lost coming through here!
The pub's name is supposedly a corruption of words meaning "fortified field" - refering to a mound in its grounds. It did a good line in curries - I opted for good old chicken but my dad had their "local" version made with leeks and lamb!
